Types of Walls

Anchored wall
The Anchored wall makes use of an earth anchor, hence the name, Achored wall. The achor is a cable or other stays anchored into the rock. It is this anchor that gives this system its strength.

Cantilever
This type of wall is usually made up out of cast in concrete blocks that are stacked in the shape of a T. The T shape allows for the gravel to apply downward force on the wall that gives the wall its retaining characteristics.

Piling wall
This technique is used in in tight places where soft soil is present. The wall is made out of wood, steel and other materials that are buried with 2/3 of the wall under the ground and 1/3 above, retaining the gravel.

Gravity wall
Made up out of Retaining wall Bricks that are stacked so that they interlock. Usually these walls are built at an angle and rely on their mass to retail the gravel. The area of the slope can be then be covered with sand, grass, flowers and more.
